About Us

Bennet Fire and Rescue is a 100% volunteer department in Eastern Lancaster County, Nebraska. We provide 24/7 response to all fires, vehicle accidents, HAZMAT/chemical spills and medical emergencies for the people who live in and visit our district along with assisting area departments and agencies when requested upon mutual aid.

The Bennet Rural Fire & Rescue District emcompasses an area from southeast Lincoln into Otoe County.

The boundaries are: north: Pioneers Boulevard, south: Stagecoach Road, east: 2 Road (1 mile into Otoe County), and west: (from north to south) 112th Street (Pioneers Blvd. to Pine Lake Road) 98th Street (Pine Lake Road to Yankee Hill Road), 84th Street (Yankee Hill Road to Saltillo Road), 82nd Street (Saltillo Road to Roca Road) and 110th Street (Roca Road to Hickman Road)

Bennet Rural Fire District is comprised of seven areas and this elected governing board represents the entire District.  They meet every other month on the second Monday at 8:00PM at the fire station.
